Wild and Wired

Our internet comes from some sort of tower relay system. I’m not sure how it all works but we all have little mini-satellite dishes stuck on trees near our houses, and the reception is shitty when it rains. The connection I am not ashamed to admit has been a lifeline not just for work and entertainment but Google makes the trials of homesteading a whole lot easier. I still meet people here though who don’t have an email, get their gardening tips from store chatter and find their entertainment at the library, the forest and friend’s house.
